Your privacy matters. Here’s exactly what happens when you visit roesli.org.

Analytics

After you consent, this site uses two complementary analytics systems:

• Microsoft Clarity provides heatmaps and anonymised session recordings, including how people move and scroll.
• A private, first-party analytics service records page views, active reading time, total time on page, maximum scroll depth, approximate scroll speed, referral domain, device category, browser family, and whether an anonymous browser has visited before.

The private service uses random browser and session identifiers. Those identifiers are hashed before storage. It also derives a salted, one-way network fingerprint from the request IP so repeat requests from the same network can be correlated. The raw IP address is discarded immediately and is not stored. The service does not store names, email addresses, exact locations, raw user-agent strings, or text that you type. Its dashboard is available only to the site administrator.

Analytics only runs after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you decline, neither system runs and no analytics data is collected. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Clarity automatically masks text content and form inputs by default, so it does not capture what you type.

What I don’t do

• I don’t sell your data.
• I don’t run advertising trackers.
• I don’t collect personal information beyond what you choose to send me (for example, if you email me).
• If you use the Suggest a blog form, I send the suggestion and any optional email address you provide to my mailbox. I do not publish the address or use it for analytics.
